The simple answer to the above question is “yes”. The longer answer is a bit more complicated.
The first thing you need to consider is that not all Spanish language courses are equally good. And, to be quite honest, the language course you are going to follow is the most important tool for your Spanish language learning process and many times it can be the decisive factor whether you will learn Spanish fast and will less effort or if you are going to do it the hard way (apart from your willingness and determination to learn Spanish, of course).

- Follow the course. This one might seem a bit unnecessary but you would be amazed at how many people actually fail because they do not follow the steps laid out in the course. Look, a whole lot of knowledge, experience, time and money went into designing professional language learning courses. They were created by people who teach Spanish for 20 or 30 years and have enormous experience with making language learning as fast and efficient as possible. Do you really think you know better?
